FotoFormulaK.com saw the light for the first time in 2003. The initial idea was to create a gallery of karting pictures with as objective to give access as fast as possible to the drivers and the media. The web of pictures had a great success, given that in the laps of 1 year we’ve passed from 100 visitors monthly to 6000 visitors monthly. The success started to cross countries: more than 15% of the visits are from abroad. Mainly from Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Finland and France. Totally people of more than 20 countries connect regularly to our website. To see visitors from New Zealand, Hungary, Brazil or Russia give us a lot of joy. Due to the spectacular growth of the web, we thought of doing more. Being passionate about karting, we had one strong desire and that was to promote karting, this wonderful sport, in Spain. Hereford came the idea of creating a website of karting. Thanks to the support of the most important teams of Spanish competition karts, we could realise this website and we would like to thank them. In alphabetic order:
With this website we try to give the most complete information. By these means, we are interested in the participation of all. WHO IS BEHIND FOTOFORMULAK.COM? Behind FotoFormulaK.com there are 2 men: Gregory Heirman, the photographer and reporter, and Manfred Burkardt, the IT Manager Gregory Heirman
Fan of Ayrton Senna, he stopped watching races after his death. But one day he saw Valentino Rossi win a race in the European Championship of 125 CC and the passion for races started again. After studying photography for 2 years in the school of Grisart (Barcelona), parallel to his work, he decided in 2003 to leave work in offices and joined his 2 passions: photography and karting. And here we are. Today he works as a freelance and contributes to different specialised magazines: Vroom International, Auto Hebdo Sport, El Mundo Deportivo and La Vanguardia Magazine. Manfred Burkardt After studying IT and psychology, Manfred left his country Germany to live in Barcelona. He worked here in different fields of IT but since 2 years he dedicates himself totally to the world of the web. In the development of web solutions with free software, he found a creative niche who allows him to enjoy his work, to discover in every client a different world (like for example karting and gliding) and at the same time to contribute to a different IT that is the one of people not the one of big multinationals. |

Of Belgian nationality, he moved to Spain after graduating in Economics in Brussels. He completed his education with a Masters in International Relations and he worked for a Belgian multinational. 5 years later he left the business world to go into the world of NGO’s where he worked for 7 years as IT Manager. Nevertheless the motivation was somewhere else.
